Prevent tangles with a DIY tackle box.

   Set out an old lunch pail or discarded toolbox on a workbench. If you have an old flatware or cash register tray, set it into the bottom of the box or pail. Organize sinkers, swivels, bobbers and lures into the trays. For hooks and lures, push a cork onto each barb as your store them in the tray and box.

   Place the PVC tubes onto the bench and saw them into small rounds that are useable for tackle storage in the pail or box. Arrange them in the box so they stand up and glue them to the base of the pail or box.

   Experiment with placing the tray over the PVC tubes for a dual layer tackle box. Stack the tray on top of the PVC rounds and keep your tackle organized accordingly.

   String different leaders, clippers, tippets and snips onto the top, underside of the toolbox lid. These will remain handy for you to grab quickly as you open the tackle box.
